Such is life!

Sometimes you want something,
You try hard,
You get very close to it,
You want it from the deep in your heart,
You run behind it,
But you can’t catch up,
And then you stand still,
Tired, out of breath,
Clasping the air with your hands,
Such is life…

You come back,
Exhausted,
Thinking about it,
You are not interested,
In anything,
But then you start learning,
To live without it,
Such is life…

Sometimes you crave for something,
And when you get it,
You look back,
Like a mountaineer would do,
After conquering the highest peak,
You realize that,
There is only snow around,
You have left many beautiful things behind,
Such is life…

Sometimes you get something,
Unsolicited,
You question the god,
Why? Why? Why you?
You cry,
But, you are the chosen one,
And it’s a written rule,
That god doesn’t respond,
You learn to live with it,
And then you thank the almighty,
For choosing you,
Such is life…

Walkin’ on the Edge

When you are walking straight,
You cannot turn right,
You cannot turn left,
And you cannot go back.
‘Coz u got to take the turn,
Either left or right,
And you don’t know,
How to do a Somersault,
You are Walkin’ on the edge.

When you prefer your eyes to be closed,
‘Coz you don’t want to see,
How deep the valley is,
When you don’t know,
If you are going to survive,
The very next moment,
‘Coz you feet are bleeding,
‘Coz your eyes are closed,
You are walking on the edge.

When you have the courage,
To face the next moment,
With a smile,
Even if you are hurt,
When you start believing that,
A Win or a lose,
Is not a part of the game,
‘Coz what matters now is,
To continue moving ahead,
You are Walkin’ on the Edge.

Cheers!!

Catch 22

Sometimes you have two questions in your mind and you have the answer to both the questions but if you answer one you’ll end up contradicting the other. But again, you want to answer both the questions without contradicting the other. The situation is like that you are standing at the crossroads and you want to go both the ways but practically it is impossible. What do you do in such situations? You have to make a choice. How do chose to answer the most suitable question so that you don’t have any regrets in the future? Well, the question is difficult.
====================================
Should I tell her that I like her?
Well, if I don’t tell her, she will get married and I will remain good friends with her until both of us depart from this world to give ourselves another chance of telling her that I like her.
But, my career is important. Moreover, I don’t want any commitment and who knows I will meet someone else who will be more suitable for me. Should I concentrate on my career?
They say that one shouldn’t wait for the next girl or next mobile phone to be released soon। New and better models keep coming. So, why not wait for the best. Concentrating on career will serve me better. I have to decide what I want from life and at the moment career looks more important. But, I just can’t forget her. I like her. Oh god! Give me strength.
====================================
Should I go for higher studies?
Well, if I don’t go for it I will lag behind in the rat race. I must go for it. I want to be a winner in life.
But, will I do justice to my parents who need me at the moment? Will I do justice to her? Will I do justice to myself if I leave everything just to take the lead of a step in the rat race?
I am confused again. I am confused again over what is more important. Yeah, entrepreneurship looks like to be a suitable solution to this problem. But, I will need money. Yeah, I can take risk. Ok, if I think I will definitely find an idea. But, money! Is it worth to spend on something for which the chances of positive returns on investments are very weak? Going for the higher studies is a safer option.
I am Confused. I am Confused. I am Confused. oh God! Give me strength.

When you are playing a court game and the shuttle is coming to you, flying freely. You will get the point if you hit a smash or you play a drop shot. If you are not sure about the shot you are going to play, you will lose the point. So, be proactive so that you win the point which might be a match point.

“Hey, what are you doing?” A friend asked.
“I’m counting down. Isn’t that obvious?” He mumbled.
“Yeah, it is. But, why are you doing it?” the friend had just got inquisitive.
“And what are you trying to see on the road?” He came close to the window. Now both of them were trying to find out something on the road.
“But, what are you waiting for?” The friend asked again.
“Anurag, would you mind to be a little patient. Just keep your eyes on the road and wait”, Utkarsha replied.

A shadow appeared on the road which gradually took the shape of a girl who was passing through that road. She was totally immersed in her thoughts. She had books in one hand and the other hand was busy in helping her hairs to fight with the wind. It was already 10:30 PM. The weather was pleasant. It was a full moon light.

“Ohh. So, you’re waiting for her.” Anurag said.
“Yeah, she passes through this road every day always immersed in her thoughts. I couldn't wait to see her so I started counting down with the hope that as soon as I reach zero, she'd appear.” Utkarsha replied.

Suddenly, they heard somebody crying for help. Utkarsha and Anurag rushed downstairs and what they saw was disgusting. A group of local boys had surrounded the girl. She was scared, she was crying but there was nobody who could muster courage to raise a voice against the mob. Utkarsha and Anurag looked into each other’s eyes and they ran towards the girl. As soon as they reached close to her, Utkarsha whispered into her ear
“We are here to help you. Don’t worry.”
The mob got angry at the audacity of these young boys. They started beating them. The boys did fight back. They fought until they could see anything and then they became unconscious.

The next day when Utkarsha opened his eyes he found himself in a hospital. He got up and asked the nurse how did he reach the hospital. The nurse told him that while fighting with the mob he and his friend got fainted. Their courage inspired many other people, who were spectators, to come to their rescue.

"What happened to the girl? How is Anurag?", Utkarsha asked.
Nurse: Both of them are fine. But, I want to ask one question. What motivated you to risk your life and save the girl?
Utkarsha: Humanity. Even if I had died in saving her, I would have had no regrets.

Every now and then we keep getting the news that someone poured acid on a girl's face, somebody killed a girl because he had loved and the girl refused, somebody abducted a lady form a public place, somebody killed someone in a public place, but nobody ever raises his voice against these incidents. We just keep discussing these and the we forget. Even if you die while fighting against these demons, wouldn't it be a martyrdom? Even state level parties have started supporting such mean incidents. The attitude should change now and we 'THE LIVING' can do it.

Time

Music is something which motivates me to keep sitting on my chair even if I don’t have any thing to work on and this motivation becomes all time high when I listen to Pink Floyd. I was listening to ‘TIME’ when I started relating the song to my life. I am no different, therefore, all other people in the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s……100s could relate the song to their lives as well. I thought of sharing the lyrics ‘coz some of you might not have listened to this song. Here it goes…

"Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but its sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you’re older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I’d something more to say

Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
Its good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells."

--Pink Floyd

Well, the song says it all.

Cheers!!
