Darna Zaroori Hai…..

1:

There was a boy…intelligent and hardworking…He had a dream in his eyes that one day he will study at one of the IITs…he worked hard and secured All India Rank xxxx among the 300,000 students who appeared for the examination…he was denied admission to the prestigious institutes because of the reservation….his dream was shattered and since he did not have money to pursue engineering from a good private college, he is currently doing graduation in Mathematics from local university. After he finishes the graduation he has plans to appear for Civil Services Examination. But, will he get admission even if he is in the top 0.5 percentage of the all the candidates who appeared for the examination?

2:

Akshay…a very poor boy…who doesn’t have enough money to earn on his daily bread…obviously he does not have money to continue his studies…he is planning to quit the studies…he is intelligent, hardworking…but he has to quit …will the reservation help him..?...No …It is not given to the right person at the right time…so it’s a futile effort by the government for the people.

3:

One of my friends who made it through the medical entrance exams and now he’s aspiring to get admission into a good medical college for completing his PG. He was pretty confident about his preparation when the issue of reservation came into picture. He participated in the protests against the reservation and got hurt in the anti anti reservation protest activities. Now, he is in a hospital and cannot study for atleat 2 months. Why did this happen…? just because he was protesting against the wrong thing…why the ….? What shud he do…?...I have an answer….”Satyagraha”…

Kira Argunova…the protagonist in the famous Ayn Rand novel “We The Living”… was shot dead at the border of her country because she declined to acquiesce to the communist government . That was the time when the underprivileged were not given the prerogative to come forward and contribute to the betterment of the country…but the already privileged were given all the opportunities…will the same thing happen in India….? Are we moving from a democratic country to an autocratic one (so called communism….)…?

5:

A big room...lots of persons sitting inside it…looks like a perfect grocery shop…everybody shouting at each other...and yes many of them are illiterate…what am I talking about…?

Yes…you are right…The Indian Parliament…These people sitting inside that closed arena (so called parliament) have taken the decision that by increasing the reservation cap to 49.5 % they will ReServeTheNation….is it some kind of joke…?..Who are they and how can take this decision without even consulting the public whose representative they are…I can explain this with the quote…”50% reservation…100% politics’…just for the sake of personal benefits they are putting the future of India at stake….Can we do something to stop them…no not this time because we have empowered then to do any thing they want to…but next time when we go to vote we can use the clause 49 O…

In a particular constituency, if a voter dislikes all the candidates competing there, then he can show his intent to all of them by registering for 49'O. Steps for doing this are as following:
• While registering the name by the time of voting, convey the booth officials that "I want to go for 49'O".
• Register your signature in the 49'O form available there.
Done..!
Now, if the number of 49'O is larger than that of the winning candidates total vote count, then a re-election is called there.

Rang De Basanti…..

”There are two kinds of people...one who take lives as it comes to them...second who take the responsibility to change…”..Which category are we in…?

“I had seen two kinds of people…one who accept death without any hitch…others who make a lot of furore….then I met the third kind of people….”…Which category we are in…?..Think again…

Real time RDB is yet to come…wait and watch…

V met again…….

How does one feel when he/she gets to meet a very old friend…. Elated…Nostalgic…there are many other words which can be used to express the feeling…

Well, I got the chance to talk to a very old frn with whom I studied till class 4th. After completing class 4th she left the town and moved to Mumbai with her parents….we communicated thru inland letters for some time and in the next couple of months we lost touch…..

But I used to search for her name whenever I had a ray of hope of finding her again…during my btech at IT BHU I went to a cyber café for the first time with one of my colleagues…suddenly a thought came into my mind that I should search for her name on the internet…my friend asked.. Who is she…?...I told him that she's one of my friends I want to meet again…. When we reached the hostel he told everyone that Ravish is searching for his childhood gurl frn (bachpan ki saheli)…everybody made fun of me…then I decided I shall not do these stupid things again….but I was really stupid….and tried to search her again after joining orkut..typed her name in the search text space and pressed the enter key…Result….0 results….;)….but I didn't loose hope 'coz I never loose hope…

One day I was browsing through batchmates.com and suddenly searched for her name….and bravo…her name was there….then I opened the Mumbai telephone directory and called my home to get her address in Mumbai (she used to write letters to me so I had her address)…I searched for her father's name in the MTNL directory and found the phone number…..tried to call that number but alas..! it was a PCO…so…tried again on the same number with the hope that may be I connected to some wrong number….and asked for her… there was a lady at the PCO…she asked me …where r u calling from…? Ans: Bangalore…then she told me the landline phone number of my friend's house….I called that number…and yes…the number was correct at this time…but she was not home…her brother told me that she will be bak in an hr or so….so had to wait for at least and hour to talk to her again….It was 10:30 pm…and I was waiting for my bus….I dialed the number…. Somebody picked up the phone and it was her…..we talked for arnd half an hr…it was nice talking to her again after a long period of 14 yrs…Since then we have been in touch…and shall stay in touch for …….(nobody knows for how long……:)
